Never send money
- Never send money, M-Pesa, airtime, gift cards or crypto to someone you have not met, whatever the story.
- Be careful if someone talks about an emergency, a stuck package, customs fees, or an investment.
- If someone asks you for money, report them. We will look into it.
Keep your details private
- Chat on PendoLink until you trust the person. Do not share your phone number, home address or workplace early.
- Do not share ID documents, bank details or M-Pesa PINs with anyone.
- Be careful with photos you would not want shared.
Meeting for the first time
- Meet in a busy public place, such as a café or restaurant, during the day.
- Tell a trusted friend or family member where you are going and who you are meeting.
- Arrange your own transport there and back.
- Be wary of anyone who pressures you to meet quickly, or in a private place.
- If something feels wrong, leave. You do not owe anyone an explanation.
Report and block
Use the Report button on any profile or message. Blocked members can never see you or contact you again. Our team reviews every report.
